Sierra Leone

My trek started in the bustling city of Freetown, Sierra Leone, not long after the country’s independence from Great Britain. While much is erroneously assumed about Africa, these early years were the best foundation I could have wanted for my life.

Right as a 10-year civil war was erupting in my birth country, I arrived at Morehouse College in Atlanta, a city that was ramping up for its host role in the 1996 Olympic Games. What endured most was the Brotherhood and the Mystique of The House.

mid to late 2000s

In search of new challenges, I journeyed to the beautiful Pacific North West, seeking inspiration and innovation at Nike and experiencing an incredible movement. I call this energy the ethos of sport – it refined my focus on Transformation.

South-East Asia

Nike took me on a two-year stay in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - where I experienced significant life, personal, cultural and professional moments. I traveled much, fell in love with Asia and led a fantastic team that proved the spirit of I AM...

North Carolina

mid 2010s

10 years before, I had written about VF Corporation in one of my B-school essays, so was honored to join the team, learning about jeans and what it takes to create enduring consumer brands directly from two of the most authentic denim labels in history.

late 2010s

As adidas sought to Create the New, I was fortunate to lead some of its key changes across 9 global markets, 6 key cities and the continent of Europe. The most profound lessons were about transforming a brand, managing through change, leading mindfully and evolving corporate culture.

Berlin, Germany & Pamplemousses, Mauritius

Since the start of 2019, it has been an honor and a privilege to help shape new generations of global leaders at European School of Management & Technology (#ESMT) and African Leadership University (#ALUeducation)...and have two new cities to get to explore and know well.
